Job Description

SUMMARY:

A detail oriented and organized professional with the ability to work with customer -provided and internally produced product artwork, private label custom packaging, in-house sales brochures, digital imaging, revision history, and vector-based artwork. They will assist with the creation and maintenance of all customer, production, and internal graphic files; ensuring that all associates only have access to accurate files for department production equipment. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining of internal logs and schedules- while confirming we meet all Print and Laser schedules. The position requires an ability to be multi-task oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· As directed by Manager, work with OEM Automotive Marketing and Design Teams to create and/or revise corporate identity artwork including creating new graphics production files, packaging, renderings, etc. Manipulating previously created graphics and alter photos per internal and external request.

o Read and understand Customer Corporate Identity Guides, and how they impact our product presentation.

o Understand the capabilities of internal processes and how graphics can be recreated on hard goods.

· Work with internal engineering teams on customer new product development.

· Work with In-House Aftermarket Sales and Marketing on Design Projects including producing marketing material as directed for advertisements, website management, and photo editing.

· Support internal sales and marketing with product & packaging artwork requirements.

· Oversee the proper organization and availability of all graphic files - active and archived, ensuring only the most up to date revisions are available on the production floor to eliminate risk of prior version art being used.

· Be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, Corel Draw, and other types of Graphics software

· Support a variety of manufacturing personnel in the set up and operation of graphic production equipment by providing active, approved art files and assist in accurate job set-up for Laser Engraving and Print Press processing

· Understand the operation of various graphics equipment including CO2 Laser Engravers/Cutting, Digital Print Press, and Film Output processing, maintenance protocols, and documentation.

· Assist with production order lists and other production documentation to ensure 100% delivery time to Assembly. Updating schedules, logs, and paperwork when necessary.

· Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety requirements, and resolve any issues or delays in all areas of responsibility.

· Ensure area is kept clean, organized, and presentable to employees, customers, and vendors

· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:

· Must have a minimum of 1-2 years graphic arts experience

· Quality driven with strong communication skills

· Must have strong organizational skills

· Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English

· Ability to perform basic math

· Ability to work independently and as a group

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Occasionally walk across the street between locations.

· Ability to communicate clearly on the phone.

· Position requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 50 pounds or less.

· Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.

· Applicants should have a clear vision, correct color perception and hand-eye coordination.

· Ability to stand 1-2 hours sporadically, if needed through an 8-hour workday.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Warehouse/production type facility, mostly through the use of hand loaded and unloaded equipment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Able to communicate in Spanish would be a plus

· ISO knowledge/experience would be a plus

· Understanding of Laser Marking for Metal Substrates would be a plus.

Computer Skills:

· Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Graphic Arts Skills (Adobe Creative Cloud, Corel Draw, or like)

· Knowledge of Fiery Command Workstation a plus.
